The Bureau of Standards of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Philippines (DTI-BPS) recently announced that several international standards for primary batteries have been listed as Philippine National Standards (PNS). See the following table for relevant standards:
About DTI-BPS
The Philippine Bureau of Standards (DTI-BPS) of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, as the national standards body (NSB) of the Philippines, is mandated to develop, promulgate and implement standards for all products in the Philippines in order to promote standardization activities in the country and ensure the manufacture, production and distribution of high-quality products to protect consumers. The Bureau was established on June 20, 1964 under the Republic Act (RA) 4109 (i.e. the Standard Act). Before the formal establishment of DTI-BPS, the office was operated as a standard office, which was subordinate to the Commerce Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce at that time (now DTI).
