On December 22, 2021, ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) launched a comment on the REACH regulation restricting the use of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in shooting clay targets. The deadline for public comment is June 22, 2022. . It should be noted that there are 18 types of PAHs involved in the proposed additions in this review, which is 10 more than the 50th PAHs in the current REACH regulation.
Control requirements:
1. From the date of entry into force, it is not allowed to put on the market the clay targets for shooting with the sum of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons exceeding 1% (weight ratio).
2. From the effective date of one year, the clay target for shooting with the sum of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons exceeding 0.005% (weight ratio) shall not be put on the market.
