Recently, IECEE (International Electrotechnical Commission) announced a revised version of the IEC 62133-2:2017 standard (AMD1:2021).
Compared with the 2017 version of the standard, the new version has been upgraded and changed as follows:
1. The updated standard revised the shelf time of cell constant-temperature charging in section 7.1.2. The shelf time was revised from 1h and 4h to 1h to 4h respectively, and the charging method was revised from constant voltage to constant current charging first and then constant voltage. Recharge.
2. In section 7.3.5, the squeeze test, the updated standard deletes the description of the upper limit charging temperature in the original standard, and the new standard clarifies that both the upper and lower limit charging temperatures need to be tested.
3. In section 7.3.6, overcharge test, the modified test requirements are described as: if the battery has a charging protection circuit, it should be able to protect the battery core from fire or explosion.
4. Chapter 7.3.9 compulsory internal short circuit test, revised the description of the test temperature, from the original 10°C/45°C to the lower/upper limit of the charging temperature declared by the manufacturer.
